Swara Fincare's Board of Director (the "Board") is composed of three Executive Directors and five Independent Directors.
The Board leverages their expertise and skills in various fields to ensure efficient and strategic decision making. The Board of Directors provides direction to management by setting the strategy and overseeing its implementation. It ensures risks and rewards are appropriately balanced.
DEV VERMA
CO - FOUNDER, MD & CEO
Mr. Verma has done his graduation in B. Com (Hons) from Delhi University and MBA in Marketing. He has 25 years of experience across various industries like Consumer Durables, Financial Services, Insurance, and the Microfinance sector. Mr. Verma has worked with the likes of National Panasonic India, Citi Financial Consumer Finance, Max Life Insurance and Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (formerly SKS Microfinance). His expertise lies in setting up distribution channels, with a deep interest in rural markets. In his last stint, he was associated with SCNL as Chief Operating Officer, where he has contributed immensely towards establishing Satin presence across India and spearheaded the transition into new products, policies, processes by leveraging on technology and also entry into new geographies.
He is very passionate about sustainable living and promoting entrepreneurship at grassroot level.

MUKUND MADHAV
CO - FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A management graduate from Xavier Institute of Management, having diverse exposure and sectoral experience in Rural lending, Banking, Financial Inclusion, Development & Microfinance. He started his professional endeavor with Bharat Financial inclusion Limited (Formerly known as SKS Microfinance) and also worked with Axis Bank. In his last stint, he was associated with Satin Creditcare Network Ltd as a Deputy COO. He holds a total of 18+ years of experience.
A professional with staunch optimism and a scientific approach towards any dimension of life, having diverse exposure and experience on multiple professional fronts. He is an inquisitive & voracious reader, passionate about delivering social impact through livelihood generation along with the sustainable financial return.
SUMIT RANJAN
CO - FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mr. Ranjan is a Postgraduate in Finance & Marketing with an overall diverse experience of 15+ years in the Indian Financial Sector. He is a result-oriented person with a wide array of experience across Process development, Credit Analysis, Credit Management, Sales & Distribution, Business Planning, Operations Management & Business Data Analysis. He has worked with Spandana Spoorthy Financial Limited, and Indepay Networks Limited.
In his last assignment, he was Heading Business Intelligence Unit and Central Operations at Satin Creditcare Network Limited where he has been instrumental in making operational strategy and rolling out new processes & products.
Over the years he has developed the skill of foresight, thinking critically, and offering solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
ERIC SAVAGE
NOMINEE DIRECTOR
Eric brings over 30 years of global investment banking and entrepreneurial experience. He is the Co-founder of Unitus Capital, one of Asia’s leading impact investment advisory platforms, which has mobilized over $5 Bn+ for inclusive finance, climate, and social enterprises.
Prior to founding Unitus Capital, Eric led Citigroup’s Asian investment banking franchise and headed Salomon Brothers’ utilities sector equity research, gaining deep expertise in capital markets and transaction structuring. He has also served on the Limited Partner Advisory Committee (LPAC) at Caspian and has taken multiple Board positions in his capacity as the on-ground team in India for leading Impact funds.
JAMUNA RAO VERGHESE
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
As Independent Director of Swara Fincare, Jamuna Rao Verghese brings extensive leadership experience across financial services, consulting, and impact investing. She has worked with global institutions such as Citibank, ANZ Grindlays, a George Soros investment fund, and PwC, where she pioneered inclusive markets and impact investment advisory. She advises ventures and funds, contributes to ESG and impact measurement initiatives, and has supported banks, NBFCs, and fintechs in strategy and innovation.
A recognized leader, she was named among India’s Top 100 Powerful Women in Finance (2019) and has a strong academic and global professional background.
RAJESH C. GUPTA
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
over 34 years of distinguished experience in banking and financial supervision, he brings deep expertise in SWOT analysis of financial institutions, regulatory oversight, and leadership development. His tenure as Officer on Special Duty (FATF Cell) in the Ministry of Finance saw him serve as India’s key liaison with the FATF Secretariat and co-chair the Asia-Pacific Regional Review Group, contributing significantly to global anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing initiatives.
Mr. Gupta has held pivotal roles in policy formulation, corporate governance, and professional training, including his contributions to SEBI’s Primary Market Advisory Group. His international exposure includes participation in high-level FATF plenaries and speaking engagements at global forums such as the World Bank.
An Economics graduate and Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, he is known for driving collaboration and impactful outcomes.
VARIJ PUJARA
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Varij Pujara is a seasoned leader in India’s financial services sector, with nearly 27 years of experience across diverse domains. She began her career at Apple Finance in 1995 and has since held key leadership roles at Birla Sun Life, Bharti AXA, and Aditya Birla Capital, building deep expertise across financial products and services. She currently serves as CEO of Loop Health, and previously as Chief Distribution Officer at Aditya Birla Health Insurance, where she successfully scaled distribution and accelerated business growth.
Her cross-functional experience spans strategy, sales, distribution, operations, and business development. Varij has consistently driven innovation, expanded market reach, and enhanced customer access through scalable, high-impact business models. Known for her execution excellence, she has built high-performing teams delivering sustainable growth.
She is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, and improving financial accessibility. Her accolades include ETPrime Sales Leader of the Year (2023) and multiple Aditya Birla Group leadership awards.
SUDHA AGARWAL
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Sudha Agarwal is a Commerce graduate from Ranchi University and a seasoned entrepreneurial professional with over 42 years of experience. She brings extensive expertise in retail marketing and merchandising, store management, sales, and client–vendor relationship management.
Her experience spans business start-up and development, with a strong ability to design and implement effective sales and service strategies. She is known for her practical approach, agility in execution, and commitment to driving sustainable business growth.
